It is just the nature of the beast and in my opinion, the price one pays for either adapting early or waiting till you are the last one on the block. Prices get reduced, especially as developers flush inventory of old stock or make room for the new. By waiting a long time later, I was able to get them for about $2100 total. So.If I had bought everything in the first year it had been released, I would have spent over $6000 on the EWQLSO + XP Libraries.
#Stylus rmx expansion packs upgrade#
I got the expansion XP orchestra with all the additional instruments and articulations for about $1000 plus a free upgrade to their PLAY version when it gets released eventually. They had another group buy this last fall. I just bought the first one, now they were saying mine was not complete anymore? And I had to pay another $3000 to get it all? Ugh! I waited another year.

Then right after the group buy, they released the XP expansion of that library with more articulations and instruments. I bought it (invested in it) then for $1100 or so. One year later they had a limited time group buy on the original. Spending over $3000 on an orchestra library was just too much at the time. I did not buy the East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Platinum sample library when it was released. I "invested" over $4,000 in my top of the line Dual G4 tower machine years ago and when I finally replaced it with my Dual G5.I was able to sell it for a few hundred dollars.Īpple released the iPhone for $600 then a few short MONTHS later dropped its price by a couple hundred. Isn't that always the case though? Apple just dropped the price of Logic 8 to half of its previous cost. I've only owned it for half a year, and the expansion packs for much less than that.

My investing in StylusRMX + 3 expansion packs is about double what they are now asking for the whole package. MegaDPuser wrote:this is definitely frustrating.
